Hi. This painting is signed by Haruki Nanmei. Could someone help me with the interpretation of the seals and writings on the box? Thanks in advance for any help,

Nice painting, maybe you could send a big picture of it to me....
The box says after the title 金壁山水. This does not belong to the title which ends with 圖. probably it is a mistake by the writer, as the style this part refers to is usually called 金碧山水 landscape in gold and nephrit.
This style more or less only exists in the texts. All examples in Chinese Collections are rather doubtful works and so the later painters and especially in Japan are free to speculate about this style. This scroll is an example of this chase after a famous old style of Chinese landscape painting. However in your scroll in this small picture i cant see any gold.
Another style is called 青緑山水 blue and green landscape with pigments of malachite and cobalt.

best wishes, peter

Hi Peter. Thanks for your interest. I like this painting too. There are no traces of gold in the painting. The beautiful montage seems coeval to the painting. I send you a folder with photos of details.
A cordial greeting,
Andrea
