This is a Thai "Temple" rubbing featuring dancers who look to be dressed dressed as Prince Rama and his consort Sita, who are principal characters in the Ramayana. During the late 20th century Thai authorities forbade the rubbing of fragile stone carvings in temples, so other sources were used. During the Vietnam War Years, Bangkok was a prime location for military personnel taking Rest & Recuperation leave, and marketplaces, antique stores and gift shops were literally stacked with sheaths of the relatively inexpensive rubbings, which they and other tourist visitors took back to their homelands.
With the passing of the Vietnam generation here in the USA, this kind of rubbing is seen somewhat less frequently in estate sales and antique stores as it once was here in Northeast Florida, but is by no means rare.
