A friend who has a pair of chairs similar to yours has asked:
"I spotted the lower left corner of the back splat mid section, to be unfinished openwork carving. Can you confirm that with the owner?
It is rather unusual to leave one small section unfinished."

Can you help him please.

Not entirely sure what mikeoz is talking about, but I would certainly say the jiaoyi looks far more like Jichimu than Huanghuali.
