Subject:Chinese artist seal

Who can read this? It is the seal of an ink brush painter. I have eight paintings by this artist and would like to know who he or she is. The art dates early 1970s. The art originated in HK.

I don't think this is an artist's seal. Because it doesn't seem to make sense to me, even though it is nicely designed and well carved.

XiHu 西湖 is the West lake, which is mostly related to Hangzhou.

MaiCai 賣菜 is selling vegetables.

And the only character I could find that even approached the construction of the last is Nung, an unusual character that appears to be an old name for Fuzhou, which is a city in a different province.

But let's hope that Mr I Nagy or another scholar can provide illumination for all of us.
