Subject:Help with Japanese pottery piece?
Posted By: Mark M Tue, Feb 20, 2024 IP: 70.118.93.210 Hoping for help again on what I believe is a Japanese piece. Unusual shape and design. It stands slightly more than six inches high. Japanese (?) characters in two places. Oval impressed mark near the smaller of the two. Fine crazing throughout. The bottom has a rough burlap-like pattern. |

Posted By: Mark M Wed, Feb 21, 2024 I'm not sure why the photos are distorted? This piece is round - not oblong. |

Posted By: Mark M Thu, Feb 22, 2024 Thank you for your reply. I was able to find two similar pieces - at least as far as the vessel itself goes but I can't tell what they are? |
