Subject:Identification Help - Salalac 1957 Philippines

This oil painting has been in our family for years. I haven't been successful on getting information on it, the painter other than the signature, or potential value. My grandparents resided in the Philippines for many years so I am certain it's from there. The internet came up with one auction listing (2017 - no estimate or realized value published) for a piece done by a Pablo Salalac also in 1957 and the signature matches but nothing further. Also, I testing cleaning off the mess that's on it and it came up easily but would love suggestions on how to properly clean the rest without damaging (oil on canvas).
