Subject:Please help translate or identify gorgeous eggshell teapot set
Posted By: Tina Sun, Oct 13, 2024 IP: 71.82.223.92

Hi,
I purchased this stunning teapot set about 10 years ago…which I believe is Satsuma, but I’ve been unable to find an identical set online anywhere and can’t identify the red symbols or marks on the bottom. Each piece has a set of five hand painted red symbols which I believe are Japanese. Any help with identification of the artist or maker is greatly appreciated! Thank you 😊

Each piece has five red hand painted oriental symbols on the bottom, I’ve tried to capture the clearest images of the symbols for identification. Thank you so much for helping identify this set. The set includes a teapot, creamer, sugar, plates and cups.

Thank you so much I Nagy, I appreciate it… I kept looking for a “y” symbol that I wasn’t able to find… whereas you saw two rectangle shaped boxes..
Thanks again!
Tina
