Subject:Burma tusk carving

I would welcome any information about my tusk. I know that the elephant was shot by my Grandfather in Burma in 1907. He had one tusk and wooden stand carved in Rangoon and gave the other as payment to the carver. Looking at this site I believe that it is kun char - a filigreed outer layer with a carved figure within - and the formal, aesthetic style, but I have no idea who the figures are depicted in the carving or the on the silver cap. My grandfather was in the military so I expect he would suggested a preference for warrior depictions. Any thoughts, ideas and advice welcome. Many thanks.
