Hello, I purchased these dolls at a yard sale over a year ago and I would like some help knowing exactly what they are. The larger of the two is the one that has the markings and I cannot read the language its written in any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nee,

Jillions of these porcelain dolls were produced in Japan into the 1920s for export to the West, as inexpensive competition with French and German fine porcelain dolls.

One would have had a wig, both would have had clothing.

Your photo of the mark is too blurry to say anything about it. It might refer to size rather than to a manufacturer.

They made some little girl happy!

Best regards,
Judy
