Posted By: Mike Wed, Nov 08, 2006 A very attractive piece. sometime referred to as paper mache, or dry lacquer. This one is relatively new, past 10 years, these are still being made in Northern Thailand and Myanmar (Burma). |

Posted By: Mike Fri, Nov 10, 2006 I would consider this to be a good art piece. Tyoical in style of what is being produced today, but it appears to be considerably better quality than most I see. As you say, not antique, but an especially nice piece. |
