Subject:Woodblock Identity, Possible Value?
Posted By: Gregg Hines Sun, Jan 28, 2007 IP: 72.128.10.68 I have this Asian Woodblock signed print. After researching it is still a mystery to me. In the lower left corner it has a black calligraphy style signature and red stamp of what I believe to be the artist. AS I lifted the paper frame of the print it was also signed over in the right hand corner in pencil. I can not tell if it appears to be the same as the artist. I have included photos. Your help is deeply appreciated. I am having trouble sizing my photos. Everyone can view the photos at my public Yahoo photo album entitled Asian Art by following the below link. Thanks! |

Posted By: Elmer Sun, Feb 18, 2007 That's 'Nihon Bridge' by Tokuriki. It's a woodblock print done in the 1940s. See this link for more detail. |
