Subject:Unknown Pottery Mark

Please can anyone help me. I have a pot with a makers mark underneath which looks like it could be either Japanese or Chinese. Could somebody please look at it and tell me if the mark is oriental or not? And if it is, what it says ... I think it might be the potters name.
