They are old traditional painting. I would like to know who paints them? I can't read Japanese letter. My Japanese freind told me the letter was quite old style, which the young people cound't read it. If you can read it, please help translating to English. A million thanks in advance.BTW, I also have many Japanese paintings. I'll post them later on.

The first two examples read ShoFu, which is a Japanese expression for the correct style in writing a Haiku (17 syllable poem). Possibly a pen-name.

The third piece, which looks to have been written on a Japanese stationery card, has been executed in a very ideosyncratic style by an eighty eight year old woman, whose name appears to have these three characters: CHO (bird) SHU (catch) SEKI (stone).

The two characters in the top left corner read CHUKO (filial piety), which probably gives a hint to the theme of the poem.
