Subject:Beautiful Intricate Hand Painted Egg Shaped Sculpture

I bought this beautiful egg-shaped sculpture in a consignment store. I have to think it is antique; yet, I don't know what it would be called to search out information on it. There are some distinguishing marks on the bottom and in the scenery of the painting. It looks like actual gold has been painted to accentuate outlines of mountains, people, flowers and water. Any ideas what this type of piece is called?
