Subject:19th century rice paper map preservation tech...

Hello everybody,
I am in need for an advice on how to preserved a four folded rice paper map possibly dating from the early 19th century. The rice paper is made of three layers, and look deteriorated on the corners. So I am looking for a way to contain it, by slowing the deterioration process. I am looking for a kind of fabric or a way to fold it to avoid further deterioration. I do not need the map to be displayed while stored.

Thank you for any ideas!

hi, keep either flat or roll it on tube to avoid folds. preferably sandwiched between acidfree tissue papers if you want to avoid any physical conservation treatment on the map at this stage.
