Subject:Framing Chinese scroll
Posted By: Michaela Zemanova Thu, Apr 05, 2007 IP: 81.132.187.193 Hello, I'm in desperate need of finding someone in London who could frame my Chinese scroll. It's about 1/2meter wide and 2 meters long and all the framing companies I contacted couldn't help me. Do you know about anyone who could?

Posted By: Jacqueline Simcox Ltd Thu, Apr 05, 2007 Depends if you want to cut its mount off or not. Pity if nicely mounted. Could be excellently put into perspex box frame - protects scroll; light weight to hang on wall and keeps integrity of scroll without destroying mount and rollers. Perspex only framer I use for this v. good and will advise: Tom Murphy, New Cross Design & Display, edge of w. London tel: 020 8393 9199; mobile 07711 371226. He's totally reliable, works for museums too and knows exactly what he's doing.
