Posted By: PyroManiac Thu, Jun 07, 2007 Nothing too fanciful or mysterious about this one I'm afraid. It's a lower quality Chinese kitchen Qing dish decorated with block stamped design. Made in South China, they were exported by the millions throughout South East Asia and can also be found where Chinese immigrant labor worked in the 19th century whether it be on the rail road in California or the gold mines in Australia. Identical style dishes were recovered from the 19th century Tek Sing shipwreck. |
