Subject:Japanese Porcelain Vase?

Good morning,
I acquired this piece from the same estate as the large vase I have pictured a few posts below. Is this a Japanese vase? Very fine translucent porcelain. Any input on the marks greatly appreciated. The mark on the base is in the next post. Many thanks,

I suggest it might be Chinese from the inscription. The cyclic year name is given in two character form (1984) - Japanese often only use one of the two characters to denote the year.
