Subject:minature ivory elephants in coffee bean
Posted By: christy cook Tue, Jul 17, 2007 IP: 68.79.8.87 I have a very old piece of art that no one seems to know anything about. It is a ivory carving of minature elephants that fit into a hollow coffee bean with a carving of an elephant as the top holding it together. Does this sound like anything anyone has seen before? Please help me to identify this. Thanks, Christy |

Posted By: Eric Sun, Jul 29, 2007 I have one of these, too. My father brought it back from Thailand, many years ago. The more tiny elephants in it, the more luck it brings. Or so they say. |

Posted By: christy cook Tue, Jul 31, 2007 Do you know any other history about this? I can not find anything anywhere about it. I have looked numerous places and have even brought it to a museum and can not get any answers. |
