Dear Mr.Hiong

I have never seen Ban Chieng (approx 3600 yrs ago civilization) bells with high motif and design of clouds, water buffalo etc..on them. Ban Chieng bronze artefact are mostly simple and/or with geometric design, your bell look like of bronze Culture, China.

Faking bronze of Ban Chieng is a general practise since the excavation have been published. They use broken, rusty, and valueless bronze artifacts to be melted and created whatever they like, then buried under the earth and pour the acid on the ground where the bronzes are buried for months.

Some Thai curators mentioned that it is very difficult and unreliable for scientific method to date the fake pieces, since they were melted from ancient bronze.

Closer pictures will do.

About the value, I just asked my brother about it, he said that for 24 pieces of Ban Cheng bronzes brecelets (with human arm bones struck with them, to guarantee their authenticity) are THB 5 to 8000.-(USD 166.5 to 266.70) for whole set, selling by local Thai antique dealers.

Please note that the pictures above are coutesey of Wang Suan Pakkad Museum, Bangkok.

P.S. the bells you have are not common for Ban Chieng Culture, they may be uniquely acheological finds which will have more value than the simple bronze bracelets.

Thank you and best regards
