Tina,

It is likely an original by Toyokuni II from the Chushingura (a fictional account of the revenge by the Forty-seven Ronin for the death of their master).

The signature is in the lower right and I can make out the Toyokuni. Also, the censor seals are in the lower right and a date can be determined from them but they are too small in your picture.

As far as value goes, Toyokuni II prints often go for a few hundred dollars. I don't follow his prices as avidly as I do other artists.

Cheers,
Stan

The artist of your prints is now referred to as "Toyokuni III" a.k.a. "Kunisada".

There was some confusion over the number designation of "Toyokunis" as there was originally some dispute over who was the rightful heir to the name, but most everyone today refers to this artist as the third.

Your prints originally dated to about 1850.
The overlarge machine-cut margins make me a little suspicious of yours, though. Could this be more modern repros?
