Subject:Warring Period Burial Weapons
Posted By: Robert Wed, Aug 08, 2007 IP: 12.6.145.178

I have been most fortunate to acquire 4 burial weapons identified from the Warring period. All are approx. 14 inches in lenght with carved/bronze handles and the end pieces are of jade(each a different design). I am wanting to have these properly insured, but not sure of a value nor where to have them appraised in the Atlanta area. Can anyone be of assistance?

Robert,
I have a bad feeling with those 3 items. If you get a better close-up, that would help.

Sad but true, they were heated to create cracks and dipped in color solution, then dyed to create amber looks.

They are serpentine and/or the worst is alabaster.

Not Chinese, too much fantasy with combination of Kris Knife, Indonesia and Indian Cavalry trooper's sword.

For your consideration.
