Subject:chinese vase set
Posted By: jesse Sun, Sep 30, 2007 IP: 71.215.150.30

these 3 vases appear to be part of a set, they vary a little but all have the same seal on there underside/base and are all of the same style, any info on what the writing on the side is?

im also wondering if the seal on the side is the artist name or something.

thanks for looking, any info would be great!

Hallo Jesse,

The mark says "da Qing Qianlong nian zhi" witch means "great Qing Qianlong periode made. Emperor Qianlong ruled during the Qing dynasty from 1736 till 1795, but I think your vase was made somewhere later in the 20th. century.

regards

Arjan
