Subject:Help needed to identify a strange vase

This vase was allegedly made during the Ming dynasty.
But my main question is not there. It looks like it was separated in 2 parts. If it was broken and repaired, I�d imagine that there would be many pieces. So it seems strange to me. Any thought?
