Subject:Asian Folding Screen Embroidery 12" Long - Origin?

I am looking at one (I don't have a picture) at my favorite thrift store! It is 12" long Byobu style looking vintage early 1900's from the frame and backing. Each panel is different...does not tell a story. I know only that much about them. Any help or direction for more study or info appreciated before I invest $400 for this beauty. It would be a purchase for re-sale as I don't have space for it! If they allow me to photograph it I will post!
