The bead is in the style of a Chinese Warring States Period glass bead. This is earlier than the Roman Period. However, the bead is either highly compromised (incomplete), or it's a reproduction.

Dear Engel,

Glass beads has never been my focus because I got too many other focuses to work on. Your bead seems to be archaic. It looks like at least a Warring States bead or older that many of the eyes or other decorated glass pieces fell off due to age and wear. I am a lay person to this! (=:

Pipane is specialized in beads like that. There are also some bead experts in this forum.

This is indeed a warring states glass bead. Surface shows heavy deterioration.
