Subject:Ancient Chinese???

I just got this item from a thrift store and it looks like a cup of some kind. I wanted to know if anyone knew anything about it or could tell me what it says on the bottom. I had one person so far tell me that it looks like ancient chinese writing that isn't used anymore, but that was it.

Well, the seal characters somewhat resemble ancient writing style but not that, is studio potter's seal.

Your piece certainly not more than 25 years old. Your description seem correct.
