Subject:where can one study asian art?
Posted By: hiba masri Sat, Jan 10, 2009 IP: 68.18.23.150

I live in Orlando-fl-USA, & want to know where can I learn Asian art? I mean painting/drawing.

schools/centers/universities/colleges in USA, the more near to my place the better, but want to know even if there is any such institutions around USA or around the world

it seems to me universities in USA concentrate on Western art.

I appreciate any help.

do you mean how to draw/paint in Asian styles? if so, you are right, there are few if any universities offering programs in this; you need to find a teacher yourself. if you are interested in Asian art history, however, there are a lot of good graduate programs at US universities, but undergraduate courses on painting and calligraphy tend to be fairly general overviews.
