Subject:Tin
Posted By: Patrick Norton Tue, May 05, 2009 IP: 99.184.51.246 Saw this old tin in a farmers barn and he gave it to me. Not sure what it was used for, but it cleaned up nice. Is this for Asian tea? |

Posted By: Cal Thu, May 07, 2009 Such machine-printed container used for tea sold western department and gift stores or sold separately. 1960s-1990s-now. Not 'tin' except British meaning "can". Made of cheap rolled steel. |

Posted By: Bill H Thu, May 07, 2009 Patrick, if it was good tea, the contents of the tin probably came from the East, but the tin looks like its decoration was conceived in the West. Regards, Bill H. |
