Subject:porcelain plate
Posted By: carolyn Thu, May 07, 2009 IP: 209.145.86.72 I am curious to know more about a Japanese porcelain plate I inherited about 30 years ago. It is 12 1/4" in diameter, Imari style. The impressed stamp on back looks like Yamatoku with three blue "flourishes" painted on the outside edge. The front center is a floral arabesque pattern with peony flowers (botan-hanakarakusa?) Outside front has six sections. Is it rare? |
