Here are the pics and the seeler even has a certificate - not sure what that means. Grateful for any help. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Where is your seller? Where are you located?

Generally I'd advice not to trust certificate unless issued by a major auction house, a serious lab or a dealer with solid reputation.

In this case no lab can help, please post here better close up pictures of the bottom, the top and a part where light reflect on jade surface can be seen clearly.

From your first picture it doesn't look bad, dealer told what type of jade it is? What period did he mentioned?

Even better if you could send high resolution pictures at pipane@gmail.com...
