Subject:Japanese Porcelain Wares
Posted By: Carol Blodgett Fri, Jun 19, 2009 IP: 76.106.190.192

I have several Jars and vases that have Japanese Porcelain Wares Decoroated in Hong Kong. I know they were purchased in the late 1940's in either Hong Kong or Sasebo,Japan. Can anyone help me with a valuse or history? Thanks Carol

Inscription or sticker tells you the history. Late 1940s would be when-made.

Value of used modern mass-made ceramics in eye of beholder. Could be 25 US cents to few dollars at yard sale, perhaps more if someone likes the decoration. Strange 'collectibles' market for particular mass-made goods has ups and downs, depending on how many people know how many hundreds of thousands of same goods made for cheap-store sale.

Good luck,
Cal
