Subject:How to sell antiquities
Posted By: Jon Wed, Jun 24, 2009 IP: 69.39.27.37 Hello! My mother is trying to sell some of her rare asian antiquities and has asked me to help her, among them are 3 beautifully carved Chinese figures that date to as late as the 1850s with the largest standing about 10.5" tall. they appear to be some type of bone, I have never seen anything like them. She claims they are quite rare and probably worth at least $5K each--so without paying a small fortune for an appraisal, does anyone know who deals in and/or buys such type of items or who I can contact? I do have pictures and am going to post just one of all three of them here. Thanks for any info! |
