Subject:CARVING TURTLE EMERGING FROM STONE

I NEED INFORMATION ON A LARGE, HEAVY STONE CARVING. SOMEWHAT OVAL SHAPE MAIN STONE OR SOAPSTONE (THO IT APPEARS TOO HARD TO BE SOAPSTONE)APPROX. 12 X 8 INCHES. THE GREEN STONE IS WELL POLISHED. AND CARVED "INSIDE" THE STONE IS AN OLD LOOKING TURTLE WITH 2 CLAWS EMERGING.
RATHER LIKE HE IS IN A CAVE, SO TO SPEAK.
I HAVE SEARCHED MANY AVENUES AND CAN FIND NOTHING COMPARABLE....

Are there any reasons for anybody to post the description of an item without posting any pictures and expect other members to respond?

I seem to see these happened more often lately and do not understand the reasons behind it.
