Subject:Are these Japanese woodblock prints?
Posted By: brandy Mon, Nov 16, 2009 IP: 98.248.165.24 They do not have pixels. They seem to be on some type of fibrous paper. I can email larger photos. |

Posted By: Stan Wed, Nov 18, 2009 I concur with Tim. The first is a Japanese woodblock print likely by Kunisada but with so much missing it is hard to tell. The second looks like it might be Chinese. |

Posted By: artstates Thu, Nov 19, 2009 yes, the latter one seems to be the Printmaking from China. In China, an old man with a crane means longevity. the painting represents people's hope of living longer. |
