Hello all, i�m looking for some help about a statue of a japanese monk, which is in my family for at least more than 100 years, i would like to know its origine, period, etc .Thank you.

Both single pieces hollow head and body �
Black encrusted eyes on little whites
Lacquered (amber) colored head
carved on the back with inscritions
Mala of 108 b.
Body containing a hundred mantras ( parchments with black and
gold ink-brushed mantras. 10 cm X 5 cm.)
