Subject:Apparent Tibetan Bronze Censers
Posted By: Bill H Fri, Aug 20, 2010 IP: 98.82.75.158 A friend has sought my views on a pair of brass or bronze censers, one of which is shown in the photos herewith. I've not heretofore encountered any like them. My assumption based on the inscription is that they may be Tibetan, although I haven't had enough experience with that alphabet to be certain. Opinions are solicited, thanks.

Posted By: Gilbert Fri, Sep 17, 2010 Not tibetan but for sure from Nepal. The inscription is newari language also know as nepal bhasa.
