Subject:Need Asian Art Appraiser
Posted By: Marsh Sat, Sep 18, 2010 IP: 99.108.148.205 My mother and I have brought a few pieces (Chinese pottery, Japanese vases & stirrups, Japanese prints, etc.) to the Asian Art Museum. We are seriously considering donating (the museum has expressed interest), but want to get appraisals first to establish value (mainly for tax purposes). Any recommendations on good appraisers for Asian art in the SF Bay Area who aren't going to charge an arm and a leg? Please feel free to add any advice/comments/watchouts/etc. THANKS! |
