Subject:Blue & White Imari?
Posted By: Kathy Clark Sun, Sep 19, 2010 IP: 69.19.48.224

this looks like blue and white imari to me. I looks hand painted. Could anyone help me with the age and mark, and any other information.

If this is a second post of this please forgive me. I couldn't tell if it was finalized.

Hello Kathy,

I have the feeling the piece isn't very old but it is nicely painted. First I was thinking it could be printed but your detailpicture doesn't show any traces of that. My guess; Japanese Arita porcelain 20th.ct. I saw such nicely painted examples before from the 1940's. Lets wait for some other opinions about it.

Regards,

Arjan
