Posted By: Bill H Mon, Dec 27, 2010 I can't make out all of the characters in the inscription but there's a cyclical year of Guangxu Yihai (1875) at the top of the column at the right side. This would be the first year of the reign. The style of the dragons and other elements of the wucai artwork is plausible for that period. I would speculate that the piece may be a censer. |
