Subject:Style of Chinese Caligraphy ?
Posted By: george ingraham Mon, Jan 24, 2011 IP: 69.96.146.253

Can someone tell me which style caligraphy this is so I might find an onine site that could help me translate it.

If you do know which style it is ? Maybe point me to an online site that will show the charactors for me to compare and translate ?

Then of course maybe someone can actually read some or all of this and tell me what it reads :)

Thank you ..

style is "regular script", or "kaishu", reads in columns from right to left:

LѩʯXбT¿XXXС֪Ͽ÷
~

X represents characters I couldn't make out

sorry, i think the encoding is Chinese Simplified. If you are using Internet Explorer, go to View/Encoding/More/Chinese simplified. However I noticed when I did so that the second half of the inscription was still partly screwed up. The artist's name seems to be Ye Zhongsan.

I want to say thank you..

You were right about the signature being that of Ye Zhongsan.

That alone was very helpful.

Have a nice day ...!
