Subject:Chinese Bowl--Ming Dynasty?--Wanli Mark?
Posted By: Carol Sun, Jan 30, 2011 IP: 66.245.49.184

I have a Chinese bowl that seems to be from the Ming Dynasty with a Wanli mark. How can you tell if it is an original, antique reproduction, or modern reproduction? I tried posting this in the China/Japan forum, but the security image was not visible.

Look like new bowl. Mark is apocryphal, not meant to be taken as tell when made.

Is not reproduction of something Ming Dynasty.

Good luck,
Cal
