Subject:Silkscreen or Watercolor identification assist

These smallish 3.5" by 5.5" cards, which I think are pretty cool, were in a trunk in the attic. Just found them today. I'm trying to figure out what they are. What style and form is it? What does the writing say? I'm extremely curious.

I apologize for the quality. The real pieces are much brighter and less yellow. The card stock is very bright white.

Seems just the right size to be Japanese postcards. Note cards also have been a popular place to reproduce these prints over the years.

Best regards,

Bill H.

Probably post-cards sold by such as museum shop. Reproduce in miniature woodblock prints designed by Hiroshige in 19th century. Printed probably by mechanical printing press.

If most carefully remove from mount, should say what company printed them on 'back' (message and address side). Could be printed Japan, USA, England, wherever museum owned original prints.

Good luck,
Cal
