Subject:Possible Yen Hui painting
Posted By: Martha Cummings Thu, Feb 10, 2011 IP: 98.26.188.217 I am looking for any information that can help me identify 2 pieces I purchased at an estate sale about 10 yrs ago. They were framed by "Art Lore" sometime in the 50's or 60's - that is all the information they have. The paintings are titled Mountian Lake and Lake In Valley. On the back of the fram it says Original Art by Yen Hui. |

Subject:Possible Yen Hui painting
Posted By: rat Fri, Feb 11, 2011 pics are too small to tell much of anything unfortunately. Yan Hui was a Yuan dynasty painter, his style is popular in Japan, but like other early painters popular in Japan such as Liang Kai and Muqi suffers from a variety of imitators. |
