Is this item heavy? I am thinking that it is poured, and so it can be glass or resin.Can you show the base.. underneath.

Your image looks more like if may have been molded in colored glass. It could be chinoiserie made for Western consumption around the 1920's or later. While most chinoiserie was made in the West, some was made in Japan.

Hi Ernest, Here are some pics of the bottom of buddha. Its not a super heavy piece but does have some weight to it. Hopefully this makes sense. Buddha stands approx 4"H. Thank you again both Ernest and Bill for your responses!

Last picture, lower left, a chip missing? If so, is it concave? If yes, you are looking at glass.
