Subject:Chinese embroidery

Just got this large embroidery featuring birds. Dimensions are roughly 1m50 by 1m. It was part of sale of late Qing/early Republic items. Could anyone tell me anything more about it? Much appreciated, thanks!

This embroidery copies probably Japanese painting. Probably 'embroider by numbers' kit like 'paint by numbers' kit. If you carefully separate threads to look at canvas base, could see printed lines outline design.

These popular in West 3rd quarter 20th century.

Good luck,
Cal

Apparently, this depicts marital bliss.
The cock and chicken, as well as the swallows, are typical symbols to Chinese people. The same is valid for the roses, doves, etc. for western people.
Could have been made for export to the west.
