Subject:Calligraphy scrolls

Hello,

I recently obtained these two scrolls, as well as a painting listed separately. Can anyone provide some more information as what they are and/or what they read?

Many thanks!

chinese, large characters read respectively "bo" and "hu", which put together are the style name for the person who supposedly wrote them but did not actually do so, Ming painter Tang Yin (known more popularly in the PRC as Tang Bohu).

These works are dated and signed 1914, by the calligrapher Yu You Ren, who was a Minister in the GuoMinTang government prior to the Communist regime.

However, there are a great number of fake Yu You Ren calligraphies. I would like to see a clear close-up of the seal, which might help.

Furthermore, Yu's calligraphy is more famous for the Draft or Grass script rather than standard script. A much more detailed investigation would be required to authenticate these works.

whoops, you are right. the poem is by Tang Yin, the calligraphy purportedly by Yu Youren. Thanks for catching that.
