Subject:chinese/japanese paintings
Posted By: frankyvc Wed, May 25, 2011 IP: 2.121.38.218

Hello,

I have 2 chinese/japanese drawings/paintings. As you can see from the picture, they are bad condition. Can anybody read the signature? Is it Japanese or Chinese? Would it be worth having them restored? A lot of questions, can anybody help please?

Thank you

Water damage and discoloration due to acidic paper can not be removed. You can remove from frames and store flat separately in buffered folders (or between sheets of buffered paper) to conserve long-term.

Good luck,
Cal

Thank you Cal. I will take your advice. I hope someone may still be able to help me with identifying the artist. Many Thanks
