Subject:Blue and White Plate

Hello,

Could you help me with this plate ? It measures 9 3/4" across and 1" high.

It is thick, heavy, warped and I think it is transfer printed. It is pitted

and there are also small raised bumps on front and back. There are four strange

dark areas on the back, they don't seem to correspond to anything on the front.

There is a phoenix in the center and cranes and mountains.

Hi Kurt,

I think you have a Japanese transferprinted plate dated from about 1910/1920. Not even a blindmark? I can't explain those dark ereas.
