Subject:Japanese porcelain mark
Posted By: David Sun, Jul 17, 2011 IP: 99.255.148.231

Hello, Can anyone identify the mark (artist) and "medium" used on this 2" translucent porcelain tea cup? (the same mark is on the saucer). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Hello David,

This seems to be Kutani influenced ware made in Yokohama.
My guess for a dating: late Taisho/early Showa period. The mark reads: "Nakamura".

Regards,

Arjan
